Live Native Essential Mist Toner Review

Vegan, organic and cold-processed to ensure that all the enzymes stay intact for maximum benefit to your skin, this toner is suitable for all skin types and has the power to wake-up your skin whenever you need that extra boost.

Live Native developed this mist to hydrate and balance the surface of our skin and to improve the lipid structure of our skin cells. Rose water is a fantastic skin treatment, we are firm believers in spritzing ourselves with floral waters whenever we need a boost. The fact that this toner has been enriched with MSM, acerola cherry extract, and essential oils of rose otto, sandalwood and frangipani made this product irresistible to us.

But, we hear you say, what do these ingredients do for our skin? Let us tell you;

• Rose water is a natural astringent and toner, it softens and smoothes the skin and as with all of the ingredients is suitable for all skin types.
• MSM is a natural extract of Pine trees which helps to build collagen and is anti-inflammatory, helping to calm any skin irritation you may have.
• Acerola Cherry extract is high in antioxidants, vitamin C and phytochemicals that help to soothe and hydrate the skin and stimulate dermal strength, helping protect your skin against the elements.
• Rose Otto essential oil deeply moisturises the skin, helping to soothe and tone the skin, strengthening the collagen-elastin network. It also balances combination skin and nourishes dry or mature skin. It is also purported to have anti-bacterial properties
• Sandalwood essential oil also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, it also soothes skin and can help scars fade. It can also be used as a deodorant, though we haven't tried it!
• Frangipani absolute again has anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant properties, along with that the scent is supposed to instill confidence and help people feel comfortable in their own skin.

It's a great blend, and given all of the ingredients the price is reasonable. The reason we only gave it a 4/5 is that we couldn't tell the difference between our usual floral waters and this toner. Don't get us wrong; It is fantastic and we have been spritzing ourselves with it, but as we've said we can't see the difference unless our skin is irritated, in that instance it is a lifesaver!

So our rating for use with irritated skin is 5/5, and for everyday skin it's 4/5.

Either way it is a fantastic treat for yourself and is 100% healthy & ethical. So you could say that you were doing the world a favour by using it. ;)

What this toner does do to normal, combination, oily, sensitive, dry, mature and irritated skin is hydrate and impart a lovely dewy glow that lasts. If you feel like topping-up (as we do) around mid-day then do so, it doesn't do any harm and leaves you smelling wonderful. We currently have it on rota and we are loving it!
